After a long morning of walking in the hot sun, our main criteria for lunch was some place close and dog friendly with vegetarian options. Front Street met all of those criteria, the nice atmosphere and yummy food made it a good call! The back porch area where dogs are welcome was really nice with ceiling fans keeping it cool and wooden fence giving a nice secluded feeling (otherwise it would have been parking lot view). We had the Tilghman's Chips as an appetizer. I'm usually ambivalent about chips, but these were awesome. The horseradish aioli was light and not overwhelming like horseradish so often is. The main course was an arugula, feta flatbread. It was good, but the flatbread was inconsistent. The crust was crispy, but it was so thin that the rest was soggy and floppy. The taste was good, and the sogginess was actually a good thing because it was easy for the baby to eat. The waitress and manager (owner?) were very nice and accommodating. We are glad we stopped in and definitely recommend it!

Cozy, casual and intimate with outstanding service. We enjoyed some Great acoustic live music on a weekend summer evening with yummy desserts and drinks. Easy to miss (no sign), just look for the blank blue awning

We arrived with great expectations for Friday night dinner, especially since the menu had some interesting choices. However, execution was not up to par. For instance, the roasted veggie salad had a few pieces of roasted squash and just a bunch of corn dumped on top, while the flatbread was bland and toppings were sparse.

Wow, What a Surprise! Great Service, Very Good Food! Do you want an intimate lunch? This is the place. Grab a spot near the window, Enjoy Local Fare. Their Oysters were Plump and Juicy, with a slight hint of the sea. Their Oysters Rockefeller, which is Creamy, Cheesy with a Hint of Tarragon hit the Spot! The Oyster "PO BOY" was Perfectly Fried, Not Greasy, On a Delicious Toasted Baguette and served with their own Chips. A Great Lunch. They do have daily "2 for $10" Lunch Specials. They include your choice of Salad & Soup, or Sandwich & Soup. I WILL be back! ENJOY!!! CHEF GARY CURRY

Loved fried tomatoes and chip dip. Unique foods that some of us liked and some not so much.

The staff was very friendly, but service was a bit slow. I think they just don't want to rush you, which is a different change of pace! We started with the chips and dip and crab bisque. Both were amazing! The chips were still warm, yum. My husband and I shared the soft shell crab sandwich special. The sauce was great, but the crab was a little too breaded for me. Overall it was a nice spot for lunch, but a bit pricey for what we ordered.

The fried green tomatoes were wonderful! I had the lamb bolognese, and Cindy had the soft crab. Presentation and food excellent! We are going back tomorrow night and bringing friends. Do not miss this restaurant, reasonable and 5 stars!!! Chuck Boutin

Stopped in for lunch on our weekend getaway to St. Michaels. My wife and I started out with the crab corn fritters, which were amazing. For our entrees, we each ordered a special. My wife ordered the crab avocado tomato salad, while I ordered the blackened tuna quesadilla. All of the food was fresh and delicious, and it was served very quickly. I will also point out that in addition to the food, the environment is fantastic. When you walk in, it's easy to notice the classy, but laid-back decor. Everyone was friendly, from our pleasant waitress to the owner/bartender who happily made my wife an amazing orange crush. We highly recommend this restaurant. Don't miss out!

Just in case you miss this little gem in the center of St Michaels it is beside the Acme Market. The lamb burger was great, as promised by another reviewer. We are returning tonight as they will have oldiies live music. Careful! There are 2 restaurants with this name. This is the one you want. We took a long ride to the other one on Tilghman Island only to find it closed for the weekend in the middle of summer. Two different establishments with the same name, different owners. Lamb burger was fantastic, no rush to get you in and out. Inside and outside seating. The folks there were helpful and friendly. Recommend it highly! " Okay adding to the review. Dinner did not disappoint! The appetizer of Crab and Corn Fritters are the best fritters we have ever had! I got the Home Made Sausage Rigatoni. Amazing! Best friend, husband, and partner got the Chicken Francaise, another great. Leaving for Alexandria VA tomorrow. We talked about coming for a quick weekend trip, it's less than 2 hours away. Wotth the ride versus the 2 hour traffic of DC! Music was great! Come to enjoy what the laid back Eastern Shore has to offer 0lus Mike is so friendly and personable. Oh and by the way Michelle Harr our sever was wonderful. I don't know the name of our server at lunch but kudos to you too!!

Took a day drive to St Mary's for lunch and as always finding good vegetarian dishes is a task, we found mike and erics on yelp and walked in. The spinach, artichoke white lasagne is awesome and their tilghman chips are perfect. Stop in and try them!!!

Due to extreme cold weather and a desire for a little grub after the winery, we happened upon this place as it came highly recommended by other yelpers. We walked in and once the daily specials were given, it didn't take long, "one of each please". Admittedly the ambiance is low key and no frills. But it was easy to see once the food arrived...fresh fish tacos and rockfish fillet...that the food is the ambiance. This happenstance did not disappoint. Will return on future trips.

Fabulous food and service. Oysters were absolute perfection. The bread pudding was incredible. Kathy, our server, was outstanding; she was professional and friendly. We will definitely go back.

Superb restaurant, we tried their meatloaf and mash potatoes, Rosemary lamb bolognaise and their house made chips with horseradish dip. Their food was absolutely amazing, with a great staff to go with it. Please try out this restaurant or you'll never truly get your enjoyment's worth while at St. Michaels. Cheers!

Very quaint with super hospitable staff. Food was quite good, amazing house-made sausage and delicious mashed potatoes (of all things). Enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere and nice wine; would recommend.

Service and food were wonderful! We loved everything we got!

Went there today (3/15/15) for breakfast. I ordered Eggs Benedict and my wife a basic two eggs and meat deal. Everything was cooked properly and the eggs Benedict was done extremely well. its a hard breakfast item to get right, probably the most complex breakfast item you can order. Friendly staff who were attentive and very cheerful, plus the right amount of chatty conversation; not too much to feel awkward and not to little to feel like they don't care. Order came fast and they refreshed our coffee. The prices were reasonable and considering the touristy nature of this town, actually lower than I expected. The staff made suggestions to us (on request) about places to see and overall made us feel very welcome. If you are passing through this town or stopping, check the place out, it is a keeper.

Nice atmosphere Christmassy music was just right christmas & folk acoustic guitar and banjo. Food was very good we got the fish tacos and beet salad. Also St Michaels Ale on draft. Friendly staff with real dedication to house made food. Wish I could have room for the egg nog or hot buttered rum!

Don't overlook this place! Great food, excellent service, and friendly staff. Tonight's special was Scottish salmon on on a bed of spinach, cucumber, and strawberries(!), and it was cooked perfectly. We always split a spinach and fried goat cheese salad, and it's always just right. My only suggestions is: Get some better signage! We're locals and know it's here, but a sidewalk overhang (like the new pharmacy next door) would go a long way.
(5)Nikki B.
Delicious, cozy restaurant with fantastic service. Kathy was a gem of a server and gave great suggestions. Steak and potato salad and lamb bologneise were perfection. Orange creamsicle cheese cake was a dream. Also, great live music on Fridays!
(5)Matt D.
Great stop for lunch and very pet friendly. Try the fried green tomatoes or the crab cake sandwich. You can't go wrong with the French fries or homemade chips.
(5)Bill B.
This place is great!! We split our time between Aspen and St Michaels and eat out a lot in both places. This new addition to St Michael is killer good and competitive with anything in Aspen. The fried oysters are to die for (tip: order the oysters on a Caesar Salad, oh man). Great food at a fair price. It does not get any better.
(5)John M.
Wow. Excellent crab cake sandwich and crab bisque! Best we've had in AGES! Wife says best ever! This chef knows how to cook, the staff are friendly, and the location is good.
(5)Neal G.
Ok, but not stellar. The food was average, but nothing great. The service was ok, but she was a very inexperienced server. We will skip it next time in town.
(3)Sil L.
Crab bisque was delicious. Also had the homemade sausage appetizer which was fantastic. Great taste.

The best value in St Michaels great portions and food. The best restaurant staff in St Michaels.I go there often because it feels like home and everyone is so friendly.
(5)Marc L.
Great food reasonably priced with terrific, attentive service. Mike has done it again!
(5)Cindy B.
I thought the menu was a bit odd and overpriced, but perhaps I should try it again... the meatloaf was hearty and delicious, but I was disappointed in the salad.

Wow!! We stumbled upon this gem on a visit to St. Michael's and found that it had just opened the night before. From the atmosphere and how smoothly things ran you would never be able to tell that it is a new establishment. We were greeted and welcomed by the pleasant staff and our server, Mary suggested items on the menu. With so much to choose from we selected the chips with homemade dip, the delicious crab bisque, the chicken caesar sandwich and the special of the day white pizza. Everything we had was fresh, delicious, and did not disappoint. The owners are great guys that will no doubt do well with this place. Although we came for lunch, we plan to stop in again to enjoy a few cocktails at it full bar. It's a must for anyone visiting the area!

The dinner prices at this restaurant are similar to some of the finer places in town but the quality, service, and ambience is far inferior. It is hard to believe the 5 star ratings I am reading here. We had an unfriendly and disinterested server and our entrees were not good. $32 for fried soft shell crabs is quite high so they better be great but ours were greasy and not crisp. Far better one were eaten at one of the more informal restaurants by the waterfront for $24,. My seafood bouillabaisse was atrocious with bland sauce and low quality seafood. I will be surprised if they are still in business when I visit the area again next year unless they improve.

This little spot was amazing! We were seated immediately for lunch and their menu has a wide variety of options for all kinds of diets (vegan, vegetarian, meat-lovers, etc.). We started with the Tilghman's Chips, which were highly recommended and they did not disappoint. They were obviously freshly made with a mustard-y sour cream dip. My boyfriend is vegan so I enjoyed that part by myself!! I ended up going with a caesar salad and crab bisque soup, which sounds totally boring but the freshness and unique little hints of flavor took it to the top. I normally don't like croutons, but these were perfectly crumbly and not too hard. The soup was also great with large chunks of crab to the very end and the sherry-flavor was definitely noticeable and added a nice touch. My boyfriend got the vegetable farfalle. Normally he steers clear of these dishes because they are kind of basic, but he really enjoyed this one and had a hearty amount of different kinds of veggies. A little bit on the pricier side but if you are looking for a unique and cozy place to dine in St. Michael's this is a good choice!

We ordered a soft shell crab sandwich (on special), a crab cake sandwich, a flatbread pizza, prosecco, and mimosas. The front is unsuspecting, but yelp helped me find my way. The ambience inside is kind of grungy and dated. It reminded me of the inside of a booze cruise. They have a couple of small tables on the front sidewalk and tables in an enclosed space in the back. It's a restaurant for nice weather. I like a more even crab-to-batter ratio for my soft shell sandwich, but that bring said, both the batter and the crab had great flavor and I devoured. They were nice enough to sub a salad as well. Neither the crab cake sandwich nor the flatbread were the best I've had, but they were not disappointing either. I think a larger crab cake would have helped. The mimosas were gorgeous! Red and orange and we ordered more. Fresh squeezed orange overflowing the glass! I would come back. Quality seemed consistent and they are very accommodating. Our waiter, Can, was very pleasant and helpful and the owner was bouncing around doing his day-to-day and checking in.

Very fine bistro food right on Talbot St. They have both full entrees and lighter sandwiches and wraps. For lunch we had the gazpacho soup. Very excellent with just the right bite and chunky consistency. Then I had a large soft shell crab and wife had the shrimp wrap. Both we cooked and served with care and great flavor. Crab cooked perfectly with slaw and chips, both fresh made. Wrap was perfect with large crunchy shrimp. This spot was definitely a cut above most. I will be back.

What a find! This place is great in every way! My fried oysters were excellent, but Tom's soft shell crab sandwich was spectacular--the best we've ever tasted! We also liked the cole slaw & homemade potato chips a lot. The waitress was attentive, too. We're going back here very, very soon.

Cute little restaurant. Our group of 13 certainly challenged the staff but they were great! Quick service while staying friendly, a rarity from where I'm from. Food was great! I had the crab quesadilla special which was fantastic. The only compliant I have was that other patrons seemed to be annoyed with our group (4 kids can get rowdy). Will most certainly return when back in town!

Topnotch offering in St Michaels, Mike and Eric keep dishing out fantastic food offerings and the addition of the patio in the back is a welcome one, treat yourself to some seafood, soups, chicken or salads, there's never a shortage of creativity here. Great spot to relax unwind and even listen to some music on Friday night. Michelle is an outstanding server!

Had an enjoyable dinner this evening after a concert at Christ Church by the College of William and Mary Chorus. My wife had a Flatbread Pizza with artichoke, onion, sausage and capers. Amazing. Everything that can be is made from scratch in the small kitchen, including their own hand-ground sausage which is singularly worth the visit. I had the special, which was seared scallops over fettuccine with a pesto cream sauce. From the first bite, it was evident that love went into this sauce. Hands down, the best pesto cream I've had in years. It's nice to know that the chef took the recipe a step further and used authentic pignoli nuts instead of walnuts - you can taste the difference in the smoothness and depth of flavor. Last but not least, the price was very reasonable. Two meals, with appetizers and a shared dessert without alcohol was $48.00. Amazing!
